Summary: Introduction about the leading species of spring and early feeding signs of Argyresthia species on Rosaceae. In this journal three new field tips are given: Phtheochroa sodaliana (Tortricidae) on bucktorn, Phyllonorycter scopariella (Gracillariidae) on broom and Lampronia capitella (Prodoxidae) on gooseberry. Continued with the list of all the updates that recently have been made, followed by general announcements regarding to the website.
This issue contains one article that provides new perceptions about a tortricid, Crocidosema plebejana. In most of the leading continental literature statements about the bionomy are seemed to be incorrect. Followed up by two news articles about the pest of Yponomeuta rorrella in the Randstad region of The Netherlands; and one about remarkable early migrant species in 2009 and indications about a good migrant season this summer.
The journal contains one report of a Swiss field trip, it is well-illustrated. The Incurvariidae and Prodoxidae are introduced joined by keys and illustrations of the species in the series 'The external characteristics of...'.

Summary: The last newsletter for the year 2008 contains three field tips. The following species or groups are treaten: Adaina microdactyla on hemp agrimony, several Tineidae on bracket fungus and Endothenia marginana and gentianaeana on teasel. Continued with an index of all of the pictures that have been added during the last period, as well the families of Momphidae and others, Bucculatricidae and Ypsolophidae are now described. The first article is about the dark variety of Celypha lacunana, called rooana, that had been spontaneously observed during 2007 and 2008. Two Metalampra-species, cinnamomea and italica, are hard to distinguish and meanwhile this species have possibly been overlooked. The small nepticulid Ectoedemia quinquella was only known from the Southeast of The Netherlands, but peculiar enough it was found in the dunes for the first time. A report of the leafminer excursion in October in the North See dunes of Overveen. Shortly when the first Eriocraniidae will appear, a table with keys can be a help by identifying these species. Contributions of pictures of non-native species. Items on the agenda.
